Rev. Mary A. Pullen originally from North Carolina, is a graduate of Louisville Presbyterian Seminary. She served as a chaplain in the United States Army, and retired from the military in 1998. Her assignments included the 101st Airborne at Ft. Campbell, Kentucky, Heidelberg, Germany, Ft. Bragg, NC, Panama, Walter Reed, and Ft. Bliss, Texas, among others.
Mary has worked as an intentional interim pastor over the years, having served four congregations as an interim, in North Carolina and Virginia. Her most recent interims were with the Riverdale Presbyterian Church in University Park, MD, from September of 2008—February of 2011, and with the Burke Presbyterian Church in Burke, VA, from Sept. 2011—October of 2012. She accepted a call to serve as the part-time Stated Supply Pastor of the Berwyn Presbyterian Church on February 1, 2013.
She lives in Alexandria, VA, with her husband Randy, a retired army colonel who now works for the FBI in Washington, DC. Amy, Mary’s daughter, lives in New York City. Mary and Randy are the “fur-baby parents” of Sasha the cat, Evie, a dachshund, and Koi, a Corgi. Mary likes to garden, take spin classes, experiment with vegetarian cooking, walk on the beach, and read.
